Refund & Cancellation Policy
How subscriptions, cancellations, and refunds work at Silux Chat.
1. Overview
This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how billing, cancellations, and refunds work for subscriptions to the Silux Chat platform (the "Service"), provided by Silux Chat Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Chesterfield, S43 3QE, United Kingdom). It forms part of our Terms of Service.
2. Subscriptions and Billing
Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, as selected at checkout. Payments are processed securely via Stripe. Unless stated otherwise, prices are exclusive of any applicable taxes, which will be added where required.
3. Free Plan and Trials
Where a free plan or free trial is offered, you can evaluate the Service without charge. We encourage you to use the free plan or trial to confirm the Service meets your needs before purchasing a paid plan.
4. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard or by contacting us. Cancellation stops future renewals; your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period, after which it will not renew. We do not provide pro-rata refunds for the unused portion of a billing period, except where required by applicable law (see section 6).
5. Refunds
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable once a billing period has begun. We may, at our discretion, offer a refund or credit in cases such as a confirmed, prolonged service fault on our side or a duplicate or erroneous charge. To request a refund, contact info@siluxchat.com within 14 days of the charge, with your account details and the reason for the request.
6. Your Statutory Rights (UK and International Consumers)
Nothing in this policy affects your non-excludable statutory rights. If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 may give you cancellation and refund rights, including a 14-day right to cancel certain contracts (which you may agree to waive once digital services begin). If you are a consumer in the European Union or another jurisdiction, mandatory local consumer protection laws that apply to you continue to apply and take precedence over this policy where they conflict.
7. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first so we can resolve it quickly. Initiating a chargeback without contacting us may result in suspension of your account pending resolution.
8. Price Changes
We may change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes do not affect the period you have already paid for. Continued use after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
