Acceptable Use Policy

The rules for using Silux Chat lawfully, fairly, and responsibly.

1. About This Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to everyone who uses the Silux Chat platform and services (the "Service") operated by Silux Control UK Ltd T/A Silux Chat ("Silux Chat", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales with its registered address in Chesterfield, S43 3QE, United Kingdom. It supplements, and forms part of, our Terms of Service.

Silux Chat is a UK-based company serving customers worldwide. This AUP is governed by the laws of England and Wales, but you must also comply with all laws that apply to you and your end users in your own country, including any local rules on electronic communications, consumer protection, and data protection.

2. General Principles

You must use the Service only for lawful purposes, in good faith, and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else's use of the Service. You are responsible for all activity carried out through your account and through any chatbots, messages, or content you deploy using the Service.

3. Prohibited Activities

You must not use the Service to:

  • Break any applicable law, regulation, or industry code in any jurisdiction;
  • Send spam, phishing, or unsolicited bulk or automated communications;
  • Collect, store, or process personal data without a valid lawful basis or the required consent of the individuals concerned;
  • Impersonate any person, business, or public body, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation;
  • Deploy chatbots or automated agents for deceptive, fraudulent, manipulative, or otherwise harmful purposes;
  • Generate, host, or transmit content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, hateful, harassing, or that incites violence or discrimination;
  • Distribute malware, viruses, or any other harmful or disruptive code;
  • Infringe the intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of any third party;
  • Target children, or knowingly collect personal data from children, without appropriate parental consent and safeguards;
  • Promote or facilitate gambling, weapons, illegal drugs, or other regulated goods and services where doing so is unlawful in the relevant jurisdiction.

4. Platform and Security Integrity

You must not, and must not attempt to:

  • Gain unauthorised access to the Service, related systems, or other users' accounts or data;
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems or breach our security measures;
  • Interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Service, its servers, or networks, including through denial-of-service attacks or excessive automated requests;
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or copy any part of the Service except as permitted by law;
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted in writing.

5. Messaging Channels (WhatsApp, SMS, Email)

Where you use the Service to send messages over WhatsApp, SMS, email, or other channels, you must comply with the rules of those channels and with applicable electronic-communications laws (for example, the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), the EU ePrivacy rules, the US TCPA/CAN-SPAM, and equivalent laws elsewhere). You must obtain valid consent where required and honour opt-out requests promptly. See our Anti-Spam & Messaging Policy for detail.

6. Fair Use of Resources

The Service is provided on a fair-use basis. We may apply reasonable technical limits (such as rate limits, storage, or message volumes) to protect the stability of the platform for all customers. We may contact you if your usage is excessive or materially affects other users.

7. Reporting Misuse

If you become aware of any use of the Service that breaches this AUP, please report it to info@siluxchat.com.

8. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected breaches of this AUP and cooperate with law-enforcement authorities. Where we reasonably believe a breach has occurred, we may remove content, suspend or terminate your access (with notice where practicable), and take any other action available to us under the Terms of Service or applicable law.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. Where changes are material, we will give reasonable notice by email or a prominent notice on the platform. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
