Your chatbot now reads what customers send
A photo of an error screen. An invoice. An order confirmation. A price list. Customers send it on your website chat or WhatsApp, and the bot reads it and answers, instead of asking them to type it all out.

Safe by design
Reading a customer’s file should never put your business at risk.
Information, never instructions
What is inside a file is treated as something the customer shared. Hidden text like "ignore your rules" is read, not obeyed.
Read, not stored
Files are read to answer the customer and are not kept.
Your rules still apply
The bot answers from your knowledge base and business rules, using the file only as context for the question.
Questions
Can the Silux Chat chatbot read files and photos customers send?
Yes. On your website chat widget (using the paperclip button) and on WhatsApp, customers can send a document, a screenshot or a photo, and the bot reads what is in it and answers using that content, together with your own knowledge base.
Which file types can the chatbot read?
PDF (including scanned PDFs, read by OCR), Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), PowerPoint (.pptx), OpenDocument (.odt, .ods, .odp), CSV, TXT, JSON, XML, Markdown, HTML and RTF, plus photos and screenshots that contain text, such as JPG and PNG images.
Can it read text in a photo or screenshot?
Yes. Text in photos and screenshots is read by OCR in English, French, Spanish and Arabic. A photo of an error screen, an invoice, an order confirmation or a price list all work.
What is the maximum file size?
Up to 10 MB per file on the website chat widget and up to 15 MB per file on WhatsApp.
Which files can it not read?
Old Microsoft Office formats (.doc, .xls, .ppt), video files and audio files are not read. If a customer sends one, the bot politely asks them to type the details instead, so the conversation keeps moving.
Could someone hide instructions in a file to trick the bot?
The content of a file is treated as information the customer has shared, never as instructions. Text such as "ignore your rules" inside a document is read as text, not obeyed, so the bot keeps following your business rules.
Are the files stored?
No. Files are read to answer the customer and are not stored.
Do I need to turn anything on?
No. It works on your website chat widget and your WhatsApp bot without any setup.
Also new: no customer left waiting, smart sales follow-up and short, human replies.
